Who the store is for
Barnabas Connection’s Christmas Store is unique in that it gives parents and caregivers the opportunity to provide Christmas for their own children.
Wimberley is fortunate to have several options for Christmas assistance, and each plays an important role in supporting local families during the holiday season. The Barnabas Christmas Store offers a different approach—one centered on dignity, choice, and self-sufficiency.
Rather than receiving pre-selected gifts, families are invited to shop for new items at deeply reduced prices—75% or more below retail value. This allows parents to choose the gifts that are right for their children while experiencing the pride and joy of providing for their family themselves.
Encouraging self-sufficiency while preserving dignity and choice is at the heart of the work we do at Barnabas Connection. The Christmas Store is a beautiful example of that philosophy in action. It is not simply about providing Christmas gifts; it is about creating an opportunity for families to participate in providing Christmas for their children in a way that is empowering, respectful, and filled with dignity.
The Barnabas Connection Christmas Store is only available to families not participating in other Christmas programs. We encourage families to apply to the program that best meets their needs. Families experiencing higher financial needs will be referred to the St. Stephen’s Santa Program.
